Como Conservatory

This was my first dance shoot of the year, and I’m super happy with how it turned out. I took a couple weeks off from my camera after I got back from AZ, and I came back with a better feel for what I could do. Location is always key, and shooting with all of the life in the conservatory helped immensely.

Its always balmy inside here, my lenses fogged up 3 or 4 times before we quit shooting. I just needed a little bit of patience. The lighting is always soft and bright, thanks to the bright translucent ceilings.

I think I learned a fair amount during the post processing of this set, and how to treat it as a set, rather than a group of individual images. Any single image on its own fails to convey what I want in the set, but when viewed together you can get some sense of a mood or theme in the colors, poses, and composition.
